Webinar: LexiQamus

Dear Members of Ibn Haldun University,

We at the Ibn Haldun University Library are pleased to announce a series of webinars on the LexiQamus database, which has been made available through the TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM EKUAL initiative.

During the webinar series, we will cover:

• The general structure, interface, and basic usage logic of the LexiQamus platform,
• Search methods for different spelling variations in the Ottoman Turkish dictionary database,
• The use of "fuzzy" and "sounds-like" search options,
• Classification of results into "exact matches" and "partial matches,"
• word relationships, derivatives, and related forms,
• search techniques addressing reading difficulties encountered in manuscript and printed texts,
• and new features introduced with recent updates will be covered.

The training sessions will be conducted by Dr. Ahmet Abdullah Saçmalı, the founder of LexiQamus, and will be offered twice a week over the course of one month, with various days and times available.
