The İHÜ Library hosted a special event that brought together art and literature, in line with the theme "The Healing Library, The Enriching Library," selected for the 62nd Library Week activities.

Held on April 3, 2026, the "IHU Kids Discover the Library: Bookmark Workshop" featured children from the IHU Day Care Center. During the event, the children had the opportunity to get to know the library environment up close while also enjoying a fun and educational experience that supported their early connection with books.

Throughout the workshop, the children used their imagination to design unique bookmarks. In this process, the children had the opportunity to develop their fine motor skills and demonstrate their creative thinking abilities, making their relationship with books more meaningful. The event encouraged children to develop a reading habit while also fostering library awareness at an early age.

At the end of the program, the children toured the library, gaining the opportunity to get to know it up close. At the conclusion of the event, participation certificates and gift books were presented to the children. In this way, the children experienced the joy of creating, discovering, and connecting with books.

Through such events organized as part of Library Week, the İHÜ Library once again emphasizes that libraries are not merely access points to information; they are also vibrant spaces that support learning, creativity, and sharing.
