The Library Hosted a Lecture by Prof. Dr. Halil Berktay on “The Papal Election and the Catholic Church.”

The Library Department of Ibn Haldun University continues to support activities aimed at contributing to the academic and intellectual development of university students. In this context, the library hosted a lecture event titled “The Papal Election and the Catholic Church,” organized by the History and Archaeology Club on Monday, May 5, 2025, with Prof. Dr. Halil Berktay as the speaker.

The event, which took place in the Seminar Hall on the ground floor of the library with a capacity of 48 people, was held between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM and attracted significant interest from club members and university students. During the event, topics such as the historical structures of the Catholic world, the Papacy institution, and the election processes were discussed. Prof. Dr. Halil Berktay provided participants with a rich perspective through his in-depth historical analyses.
